Dr. Anna Sadowska is Operations Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at the European Institute of Interdisciplinary Research (EIIR) in Warsaw, Poland. In this capacity she is responsible for carrying out the activities of EIIR in Central and Eastern Europe, including establishing a contact base with local and regional governments and public authorities, universities and research institutes as well as business partners. She also actively participates in and contributes to R&D projects at EIIR funded by organizations such as the European Commission and national and regional governments across the EU.

Dr. Sadowska's research concentrates on the economic, technological and organizational conditions that enable implementation of business process management models to improve the effectiveness of collaboration in business networks in the private and public sectors. Her main concerns in this area are forms of business relationships and partnerships like Value Collaboration Networks, Partner Relationship Management, measurement of returns on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) investment, and benefits and limits of introducing innovation across Europe.

In parallel to these engagements she acts as External Expert on European Commission financed research. In this capacity she is involved as an Evaluator and Reviewer of R&D proposals and projects of the European Commission's Framework Programme. Dr. Sadowska is also an official representant of EIIR to the European Commission's Open Innovation Strategy and Policy Group (OISPG), where she acted as Rapporteur for period 2010-2012.

Prior to joining EIIR, Dr. Sadowska cooperated with leading Polish and international IT and consulting companies, such as PROKOM SA, KPMG, Computerland SA, and Fujitsu Siemens. In these professional activities she specialized in project coordination, business process analysis, implementation and optimization of leading e-business solutions, and incorporation of technological options into business development strategy in leading organizations in Poland.

Dr. Sadowska holds a MA and a PhD in Economics and Information Technologies Science from the University of Lodz, Poland.
